Who can retire earlier than 60

According to the publication 'On Pension', Ukrainians can count on the opportunity to retire before reaching the basic age of 60 if they have at least 32 years of work experience.

Features of early retirement

If a worker's experience is between 22 to 32 years, the pension will be granted at 63 years; for those who have worked from 15 to 22 years – at 65 years. However, there are exceptions under which one can retire before the age of 60.

Pension consultant Sergey Korobkin explains that individuals who were dismissed at the initiative of the employer have the right to early retirement if their experience is 30 years for women and 35 years for men.

It should be noted that if a worker is unable to perform their duties for medical reasons, the employer must offer another position. If the worker refuses the transfer or there are no other options, the employment relationship may be terminated with the possibility of receiving a pension without involvement from the employment service.

If Ukrainians have the appropriate work experience, they can retire earlier than 60. Early retirement is also possible in case of job loss due to the employer's initiative or medical incapacity for work. In these cases, having the relevant work experience is important.
