A One-Time Payment for Low-Income Families
Ukraine's Pension Fund has announced that a one-time payment of 1500 hryvnias will not be counted as part of a family's total income when determining eligibility for state social assistance. This measure is formalized in Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 341, dated March 18, 2026. This policy is part of ongoing efforts to support vulnerable households amid economic challenges.
According to the Pension Fund, the amount received from this one-time payment is excluded from calculations for all types of government aid stipulated by law. Furthermore, the entire sum is omitted from the calculation of a citizen's total monthly or annual taxable income.
The Government's Objective
Pension Fund representatives state that this provision is clearly outlined in the resolution. The decision aims to improve the financial situation of low-income families without jeopardizing their right to receive ongoing social support.
This Cabinet of Ministers decision represents a significant step in supporting Ukraine's low-income population.
This exclusion prevents the one-time bonus from negatively affecting a family's qualification for social aid. It can therefore help improve the financial standing of families in need of additional support, as state social policy seeks to balance budgetary constraints with the welfare needs of citizens.
In addition to the recent pension bonus, the government has introduced further financial support measures for 2026. These initiatives aim to bolster the financial stability of families in need, including a new one-time payment of 50,000 UAH.
