Checks of social payments in Ukraine
The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) has announced planned checks of social payment recipients, including subsidies and benefits. The purpose of these checks is to establish the actual right of citizens to state assistance in paying for utility services. According to current legislation, this requires the preparation of a Report on the survey of the material and living conditions of the family.
Reasons for checks
Checks of living conditions will be conducted in several cases, including:
- if the actual number of residents in the household is less than the number registered;
- if there are multiple personal accounts;
- to establish the fact that the housing is not rented out;
- if household electrical appliances are used for heating.
These factors may affect the right of citizens to receive state assistance.
Surveys may also be conducted for receiving other state payments, which underscores the importance of adhering to established norms and rules in the context of financial support from the state. Thus, the checks are aimed at ensuring fairness in the provision of social payments and preventing possible abuses.
The planned checks by the Pension Fund of Ukraine are an important step in combating possible abuses in the social payment system. They can help identify cases where state resources are misused, which, in turn, has a positive impact on the financial stability of the state. These actions may also increase citizens' trust in the social support system, ensuring that assistance is provided only to those who truly need it.
