The Pension Fund Explained to Ukrainians the Difference Between Certificates OK-5 and OK-7

Фонд пенсій роз'яснив українцям, чим різняться сертифікати OK-5 та OK-7.

Certificates OK-5 and OK-7: Important Documents of the Pension Fund of Ukraine

The Pension Fund of Ukraine issues two important certificates — OK-5 and OK-7, which are formed based on a single register and contain data about the work experience, salary, and contributions of insured persons. Both certificates contain individual information about the insured person from the state register of compulsory state social insurance.

The OK-5 certificate covers periods of employment starting from 2000, and in some cases, from 1998, and is used for pension appointment. In contrast, the OK-7 certificate includes periods from 2011 and is most often used to determine experience for sick leave payments and unemployment benefits.

Obtaining Certificates and Their Significance

Both certificates contain information about insurance experience, amounts of salary, and payment of insurance contributions. The OK-5 certificate shows the accrued insurance experience and salary that is taken into account for pension appointment. The OK-7 certificate, on the other hand, demonstrates the amounts of actually accrued salary or income and insurance experience for the specified periods.

Certificates can be obtained at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, as well as online through the electronic services portal of the PFU or the Diia portal.

It should be noted that due to the presence of personal data, only the insured person themselves, and their legal representative or an authorized representative with formal powers can obtain the certificates. This is an important aspect as it ensures the protection of personal information. Thus, the OK-5 and OK-7 certificates are necessary documents for obtaining social payments, and their correct registration ensures access to pension and social guarantees.

Obtaining the OK-5 and OK-7 certificates is an important step in ensuring the social rights of Ukrainian citizens, especially in the context of pension provision and social payments. These documents not only confirm work experience but also ensure transparency in the accrual of social payments, which in turn fosters trust in government institutions.

In the context of changes in legislation and social reforms, the accessibility of such certificates through online services is also an important factor in simplifying the processes of obtaining social guarantees.
