UAH 26.3 Billion in Social Benefits Funded by Ukraine's Pension Authority

Фінансування соціальних виплат від Пенсійного фонду України становить 26,3 мільярди гривень.

Social benefit funding

By 5 August, Ukraine's Pension Fund had financed social payments covering pensions, housing allowances, subsidies, insurance benefits, and social aid. During August, the Fund's offices delivered 182,000 services to citizens who came to them.

Pension outlays totaled UAH 17.7 billion, with UAH 2.4 billion channeled through Ukrposhta and UAH 15.3 billion through authorized banks.

In addition, UAH 1.5 billion went to housing subsidies and benefits, UAH 1.6 billion to insurance payouts (including UAH 0.2 billion for sick leave), and UAH 5.5 billion for social assistance and other payments.

Why this funding matters

Financing social benefits through the Pension Fund is a key part of supporting the population, especially during economic instability. Outlays for pensions and social aid show the state's commitment to ensuring citizens' social protection.

The large number of services rendered suggests rising demand for social support, likely driven by economic challenges and other factors affecting people's wellbeing.
