August 12 Social Payout Funding Update
As of August 12, Ukraine's Pension Fund has financed a wide array of social payments, including retirement pensions, housing subsidies and benefits, insurance payouts, and social assistance. In August, fund offices processed 479,600 service requests from citizens.
Allocation of Funds
Retirement benefits accounted for the largest share, UAH 36.4 billion. Of that, UAH 5.8 billion was distributed through JSC Ukrposhta and UAH 30.6 billion via authorized banks. Housing subsidies and benefits received UAH 1.5 billion, insurance payments totaled UAH 2.0 billion (with UAH 0.7 billion for sick leave), and social assistance and other payments came to UAH 7.0 billion.
The latest figures highlight the Pension Fund's vigorous financial operations amid the country's socioeconomic challenges. Providing broad social payments remains a central component of state policy, underpinning citizen protection and fulfilling essential social needs. Such disbursements serve as a regular lifeline for millions of Ukrainian households.
