As of June 15, 2023, Ukraine had disbursed a total of 56.1 billion hryvnias in payments. Of this amount, 43.3 billion hryvnias were allocated to pensions, distributed as follows:
- 7.1 billion hryvnias were delivered through the state postal service, Ukrposhta;
- 36.2 billion hryvnias were paid via authorized banks.
Additionally, 1.4 billion hryvnias went toward housing subsidies and benefits, while 2.4 billion hryvnias were earmarked for insurance payouts—1.1 billion of which covered sick leave. Social assistance and other payments accounted for 9.0 billion hryvnias. In June, the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided 853,600 services to individuals who sought assistance.
These figures underscore the critical role of social payments in supporting the population, particularly amid the economic challenges the country faces. Pensions and social benefits are vital for ensuring a decent standard of living for many citizens, as a significant portion of the population relies on this financial support.
Given the high volume of inquiries to the Pension Fund, it is clear there is a strong demand for social services and state assistance. This data highlights the ongoing need for robust social safety nets in Ukraine.
