As of June 17, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has disbursed a total of UAH 62.6 billion in payments. This amount covers pensions, subsidies, insurance benefits, and social assistance. During June, the Fund provided 996,400 services to citizens.

Specifically, UAH 49.5 billion was allocated for pension payments, distributed as follows:

  • UAH 7.9 billion was channeled through Ukrposhta JSC;
  • UAH 41.6 billion was paid via authorized banks.

Additionally, UAH 1.4 billion was designated for housing subsidies and benefits, UAH 2.6 billion for insurance payouts (including UAH 1.2 billion for sick leave), and social assistance and other payments totaled UAH 9.1 billion.

The Role of Social Protection

These figures underscore the continued commitment to social protection in Ukraine, a critical element given the country's economic challenges. The Pension Fund's disbursements are vital for ensuring financial stability for many Ukrainian households, particularly during crises stemming from domestic or external factors. Understanding these funding flows helps gauge the government's capacity to support its most vulnerable citizens.
