Overview of Social Benefit Funding in Ukraine
By October 22, Ukraine's Pension Fund had allocated payments for pensions, housing subsidies, benefits, insurance claims, and other social assistance programs. In October alone, the Fund delivered over one million services to individuals seeking support.
Pension payments accounted for 69.1 billion UAH of this funding, divided as follows:
- 9.1 billion UAH was distributed through JSC 'Ukrposhta';
- 60.0 billion UAH was transferred via authorized banking institutions.
In addition, 1.5 billion UAH was dedicated to housing subsidies and benefits, while insurance payouts totaled 2.8 billion UAH, including 1.5 billion UAH specifically for sick leave compensation. Social assistance and other related payments amounted to 11.8 billion UAH.
These figures highlight the government's ongoing commitment to maintaining social welfare amid ongoing economic challenges.
