Social Payment Funding as of April 16
As of April 16, Ukraine's Pension Fund has released data detailing the financing of social payments and the volume of services provided. The total sum allocated for pension payments reached 49.0 billion hryvnias (UAH), distributed through the following channels:
- 8.4 billion UAH was disbursed via the national postal service, JSC 'Ukrposhta'.
- 40.6 billion UAH was paid out through authorized banking institutions.
In addition to pensions, the Fund financed 4.9 billion UAH for housing subsidies and benefits, and 2.7 billion UAH for insurance payments, of which 1.3 billion UAH was designated for sick leave compensation. A further 26.5 billion UAH was allocated for social assistance and other benefits. During April, the Pension Fund's offices processed and provided 843.6 thousand services for citizens who applied for support.
This data underscores the critical role of social security payments in Ukraine, particularly amid ongoing economic pressures.
The use of multiple distribution channels, including 'Ukrposhta' and banks, reflects efforts to ensure these vital services remain accessible to all citizens. The Pension Fund's active role in administering this aid is a key factor in maintaining social stability and public welfare during a challenging period for the country.
