Social Payment Financing in Ukraine
As of June 28, 2023, substantial funds have been disbursed for social payments across Ukraine. Specifically, 74.6 billion UAH was allocated for pensions, with 9.4 billion UAH distributed through Ukrposhta JSC and 65.2 billion UAH via authorized banks.
In addition, 1.4 billion UAH was provided for housing subsidies and benefits, alongside 3.3 billion UAH for insurance payments, of which 1.9 billion UAH covered sick leave compensation.
Social Assistance and Its Impact
Furthermore, 10.7 billion UAH was designated for social assistance and other payments. In June, the Pension Fund of Ukraine delivered 1,444,100 services to individuals seeking support. These figures highlight the government's active social policies amid ongoing challenges.
This financial outlay underscores the Ukrainian authorities' commitment to supporting the population during economic instability and war-related hardships. Ensuring social payments remains a key component of state policy, helping to ease social tensions and improve citizen welfare, especially when many face difficulties due to the conflict.
