State Budget Disbursements as of June 29, 2023
By June 29, 2023, the government had disbursed substantial funds from the national budget. A total of 74.6 billion UAH was earmarked for pension payments, distributed as follows:
- 9.4 billion UAH channeled through Ukrposhta JSC;
- 65.2 billion UAH via authorized banks.
Additionally, 1.4 billion UAH went toward housing subsidies and benefits, while 3.3 billion UAH covered insurance payments—including 1.9 billion UAH for sick leave compensation. Social assistance and other payments consumed another 10.7 billion UAH. During June, the Pension Fund of Ukraine delivered 1,502,700 services to individuals seeking support.
These figures underscore the government's commitment to social safety nets amid ongoing economic challenges. The heavy spending on pensions and welfare highlights the state's obligations to its citizens, particularly during periods of instability. Boosting social payments can help improve living standards and ease societal tensions.
