Ukraine Finances Pensions, Insurance, and Social Payments
As of July 5, 2023, Ukraine has disbursed funding for pensions, insurance, and social benefits. The total amount allocated for pension payments reached 17.4 billion UAH. Of this sum, 2.4 billion UAH was channeled through Ukrposhta JSC, while 15.0 billion UAH was distributed via authorized banks.
An additional 1.6 billion UAH was provided for insurance payments, including 0.2 billion UAH for sick leave compensation. Furthermore, 6.3 billion UAH was earmarked for social assistance and other benefits. During July, the Pension Fund of Ukraine processed 187,200 services for individuals who applied to its offices.

These figures highlight the Ukrainian government’s commitment to supporting its population amid economic challenges. Financing pensions and social benefits is a key tool for maintaining social stability and aiding vulnerable groups. The continued funding demonstrates the state’s ongoing fulfillment of its obligations to citizens—a particularly critical task given the pressures from both domestic and external factors.
