Social Benefit Funding in Ukraine
As of May 11, 2023, Ukraine has funded substantial amounts for social benefits. A total of 32.4 billion UAH was allocated to pension payments, with 5.4 billion UAH disbursed through Ukrposhta JSC and 27.0 billion UAH via authorized banks. This funding highlights the government's ongoing efforts to support its citizens amid economic challenges.
Additionally, 3.3 billion UAH was set aside for housing subsidies and benefits, while 2.0 billion UAH went to insurance payments—of which 0.7 billion UAH covered sick leave costs. Social assistance and other payments received 6.4 billion UAH in funding.
Pension Fund Agency Activity
In May, Pension Fund of Ukraine offices delivered 512,300 services to those who applied. These figures indicate active state engagement in the social welfare sector.
