How the Pension Fund of Ukraine Allocated Its Funds
As of April 26, 2023, Ukraine’s Pension Fund had distributed a total of UAH 75.1 billion in payments. Of this amount, UAH 9.6 billion was paid out through Ukrposhta, while UAH 65.5 billion went through authorized banks.
Social Benefits and Assistance Programs
Additionally, UAH 4.9 billion was allocated for housing subsidies and benefits, and UAH 3.4 billion for insurance payouts—of which UAH 2.0 billion covered sick leave compensation. Another UAH 27.8 billion was directed toward social assistance and other payments. In April, the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided 1,289,400 services to individuals who sought help.
These figures highlight the Pension Fund’s active role in delivering financial support to Ukrainians during a challenging period. By channeling payments through both Ukrposhta and authorized banks, the fund is working to ensure that social services remain accessible to the population. The increased funding for social benefits underscores the importance of supporting vulnerable groups and responding promptly to the country’s social needs.
