Social Payments Funded by Ukraine's Pension Fund
As of March 6, Ukraine's Pension Fund has financed social payments totalling over 32 billion hryvnias and provided more than 425,000 services. In March alone, 425.9 thousand services were delivered to individuals who applied to the Fund's offices. This activity highlights the Fund's critical role in maintaining social stability during a period of national challenge.
Allocation of Funds
The total funding amounted to 32.4 billion hryvnias, distributed as follows:
- 23.9 billion hryvnias were spent on pension payments;
- 3.4 billion hryvnias were disbursed via Ukrposhta JSC;
- 20.5 billion hryvnias were paid through authorized banks;
- 4.6 billion hryvnias were allocated for housing subsidies and benefits;
- 1.7 billion hryvnias for insurance payments;
- 0.5 billion hryvnias for sick leave compensation;
- 2.2 billion hryvnias for state aid and other payments.
This data underscores the Pension Fund's active operations amidst significant socio-economic pressures. The substantial allocation for pensioners forms a cornerstone of the state's social policy. The system's responsiveness in providing services and funding demonstrates its capacity to address citizens' needs, particularly during a time of instability.
