Ukrainian Pension Fund Allocates Funding for Social Benefits
The Ukrainian Pension Fund has reported on its financing of social benefit payments as of February 12. During this period, the Fund processed 672.9 thousand service requests from individuals who applied to its offices.
In total, UAH 34.7 billion was allocated for pension payments. This substantial sum was distributed through the following channels and purposes:
- UAH 6.4 billion was paid out via JSC 'Ukrposhta';
- UAH 28.3 billion was disbursed through authorized banks;
- UAH 4.6 billion was designated for housing subsidies and benefits;
- UAH 2.2 billion was allocated for insurance payments, of which UAH 1.0 billion covered sick leave compensation;
- UAH 5.5 million was financed for state aid and other payments.
These figures demonstrate the Pension Fund's continued commitment to meeting its social payment obligations despite ongoing economic pressures. The role of authorized banks and Ukrposhta is crucial in ensuring timely disbursements, which directly impacts the financial stability of millions of recipients. Maintaining these social payments is a key component of public support in Ukraine, especially during a time of national crisis.
