Report from Ukraine's Pension Fund
Ukraine's Pension Fund has released a report detailing its funding for social payments as of January 26. During January, the Fund provided 1,183,100 services to individuals who applied to its offices.
Funding for Social Payments
According to the report, 65.7 billion hryvnias were allocated for pension payments. This total sum was distributed as follows:
- 8.9 billion hryvnias were paid out via Ukrposhta, the national postal service;
- 56.8 billion hryvnias were disbursed through authorized banks;
- 5.0 billion hryvnias were allocated for housing subsidies and benefits;
- 2.8 billion hryvnias were designated for insurance payments, of which 1.6 billion hryvnias covered sick leave compensation;
- 8.7 billion hryvnias were used for state aid and other social payments.
These figures demonstrate the Pension Fund's active role in securing social payments for citizens. Maintaining the timeliness and scale of these disbursements is critical for social stability, especially for vulnerable groups. The Fund's operations are a key component of Ukraine's social safety net during a period of significant economic pressure.
