Financial Performance of Ukraine's Pension Fund
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has released its financial results as of February 25, 2023. The total sum allocated for pension payments reached 68.5 billion hryvnias. Of this amount, 8.9 billion hryvnias were distributed via JSC 'Ukrposhta', while 59.6 billion hryvnias were paid out through authorized banks.
Social Payments and Subsidies
In addition, 4.6 billion hryvnias were financed for housing subsidies and benefits, and 3.4 billion hryvnias were allocated for insurance payments. Within the insurance category, 2.1 billion hryvnias were designated for sick leave compensation. A further 8.5 million hryvnias were provided for state aid and other payments. In February, the fund processed 1,393.9 thousand services.
These financial outcomes demonstrate the continued implementation of social programs in Ukraine, despite significant economic pressures. Maintaining pension and social support payments is a critical component of state policy aimed at ensuring social protection for the population.
