In 2025, the Pension Fund of Ukraine made significant social payments, exceeding the figures of the previous year. In total, the fund allocated 939.5 billion UAH for social services, which is 10% more than in 2024. Fund expenditures increased by 85.1 billion UAH compared to the previous period.
Of this amount, 799.04 billion UAH was spent on pension payments. The fund's budget received 992.8 billion UAH, of which:
- 689.9 billion UAH were own revenues;
- 213.7 billion UAH came from the state budget;
In addition, 35.9 billion UAH was allocated for subsidies and benefits for utility payments, and 47.0 billion UAH was spent on state social assistance.
Social support programs and inflation
Within the social support programs:
- 'School package' cost 1.1 billion UAH;
- 'Winter support' - 2.4 billion UAH.
Meanwhile, the inflation rate in Ukraine was 9.3%.
The growth of Pension Fund expenditures indicates an increase in the state's social responsibility in response to economic challenges, particularly the high level of inflation. Given the significant amounts allocated for pension payments and social programs, one can conclude that the government is trying to support the population in conditions of economic instability. This data may be important for understanding the socio-economic situation in the country and the government's further steps in social policy.
