The Pension Fund paid 67.3 billion hryvnias in September: how much less than in August

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has completed financing of September payments, directing 67.3 billion hryvnias to them. This is 1.5 billion less than in August, when pensioners received 68.8 billion hryvnias.



Over the past three months, pension financing remained stable at 67.8 billion hryvnias, except for March when, due to indexing, payments amounted to 67.4 billion hryvnias, as well as February and January with smaller amounts of 62.2 and 61.7 billion respectively.



According to the PFU, as of July this year, there were 10 million 259.7 thousand pensioners in Ukraine, which is 88.4 thousand less than in December 2024. Payments are made both through post offices and to bank accounts.


From January 1, 2026, an increase in the minimum wage to 8,647 hryvnias is expected, and the minimum pension to 2,595 hryvnias. The main pension increase is planned for March 1, 2026, during the next indexing.



Projected changes in pension payments


The largest number of pensioners lives in the Dnipropetrovsk region - 869.4 thousand, in Kyiv - 747.6 thousand, in the Kharkiv region - 697.1 thousand, in Lviv - 666.3 thousand, and in Donetsk - 596.4 thousand.


In recent months, pension funding in Ukraine remains stable, but at the beginning of the new year, increases in minimum pensions and wages are planned, which will allow improving the social protection of pensioners in the country.
