Social Benefit Administration to Be Handled by Ukraine’s Pension Fund

Управління соціальними виплатами буде доручено Пенсійному фонду України.

High-Level Talks Between Ukraine’s Pension Fund Leadership and UNICEF Representatives

On May 6, 2026, a working meeting took place between the top officials of Ukraine’s Pension Fund and delegates from UNICEF. During the session, they outlined cooperation mechanisms for a study aimed at evaluating the Fund’s expanded responsibilities—specifically its potential role in administering social assistance programs.

The discussion covered critical areas such as digital transformation, IT infrastructure upgrades, the expansion of online services, and ensuring the reliability of information systems. Yevhenii Kapinus, Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, commented:

'We highly value our constructive partnership with international organizations and are committed to adopting global best practices in social welfare. This research will enable a thorough assessment of current workflows and help identify opportunities for further improvement.' Yevhenii Kapinus

This collaboration is expected to drive measurable improvements in the quality of social welfare services across Ukraine.

Partnership with UNICEF

The alliance between Ukraine’s Pension Fund and UNICEF marks a major step forward in refining the country’s social policies. The planned study will not only review existing procedures but also seek practical solutions to enhance the management of social benefits. Ultimately, this initiative aims to make social services more accessible and effective for the Ukrainian population, especially amid ongoing challenges.

In light of these developments, it's important to consider the recent visit by the Pension Fund Chairman to service centers in the Dnipro region. This inspection aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of local operations and ensure that the implementation of new initiatives aligns with the Fund's goals.
