Ukraine's Pension Fund Launches Online Portal for Displaced Persons

Новий онлайн-сервіс для допомоги внутрішньо переміщеним особам в Україні

New Digital Service for Internally Displaced Persons

Ukraine's Pension Fund has introduced a new online platform to streamline the application process for housing assistance. This digital service allows Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to submit their claims remotely via the Pension Fund's official web portal. This initiative is part of broader social support reforms during a period of significant displacement within the country.

The launch of this service is linked to amendments in the payment procedures, which were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in Resolution No. 390, dated March 18, 2026, 'On Amendments to the Procedure for Providing Housing Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons'. A key change increases the maximum number of housing assistance payment periods for IDPs from four six-month periods to five. This extension is designed to improve the financial security of displaced individuals.

Revised Payment Rules for IDPs

Furthermore, assistance payments for children in IDP families will now be provided regardless of household income, provided the family meets specific criteria regarding property status, actual place of residence, and the children's schooling. Updated rules have also been implemented for assigning payments to pensioners and families consisting solely of non-working-age individuals.

More detailed information on the changes to the housing assistance procedure for IDPs is available on the Pension Fund's official website. A user guide for the new electronic service is also published online.

This new digital service simplifies the application process for aid, a crucial development given the current socio-economic challenges faced by many displaced Ukrainians.

The revised payment regulations aim to offer enhanced financial support to vulnerable population groups, which may positively impact their overall living conditions.

In light of these recent developments, it's essential to understand the broader implications of the revised assistance framework for displaced individuals. The expanded support measures not only enhance financial stability for families but also reflect the government's commitment to addressing the ongoing challenges faced by those affected by displacement. This comprehensive approach aims to provide vital resources and security for internally displaced persons navigating these uncertain times.
