Annual physical identification requirement for pensioners
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has announced the annual physical identification requirement for certain categories of pensioners, which must be completed by December 31 each year. This procedure is mandatory for pensioners residing in temporarily occupied territories, as well as for citizens temporarily staying outside of Ukraine.
Identification can be done remotely through the personal cabinet on the website of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. To log in to the portal, a remote qualified electronic signature 'Diia.Signature' is required. Additionally, pensioners will need a smartphone and a device to access the web portal.
Advantages of remote identification
Thanks to the possibility of remote identification, pensioners have convenient access to the necessary procedures, allowing them to fulfill the Pension Fund's requirements without unnecessary difficulties, even when facing limited access to government institutions.
This initiative of the Pension Fund of Ukraine reflects the desire to ensure access to services for pensioners who may face challenges in times of war and occupation. Remote identification simplifies the process for those who cannot physically visit institutions and emphasizes the importance of the digitization of government services in Ukraine, especially under modern challenges.
This can also be an important step towards improving citizen services and enhancing their financial security.
