Free sanatorium vouchers for Ukrainians in 2025
According to the publication 'On Pension', Ukrainians in 2025 can take advantage of the opportunity to receive a free voucher to a sanatorium. This is especially important for elderly people who need treatment for various diseases.
According to previous legislation, until 2023, the right to free sanatorium vouchers belonged to war veterans, combatants, pensioners with disabilities, holders of state awards, and individuals with disabilities caused by the war. However, starting from 2025, this opportunity is available only to citizens who have returned from captivity.
- In order to receive a free voucher, pensioners need to:
- Consult a doctor to get a conclusion about the necessity of treatment;
- Register with social authorities and find out about possible voucher options.
It should be noted that during the 2023-2025 period, almost no funds were allocated in the Ukrainian budget for sanatorium services. Whether funds will be allocated for free vouchers in 2026 will depend on the government's decision.
At the same time, pension payments in 2025 will be increased by nearly 1000 hryvnias.
