Negotiations between the USA, Ukraine, and Russia
Expert Arty Green (Yevhen Bekrenev), a retired Armed Forces officer, stated that the peace negotiations between the USA, Ukraine, and Russia are a political show in which the fundamental issues have already been resolved. According to him, the military sides are currently discussing the technical details of the ceasefire. The leak of the 28-point plan confirms that important aspects have already been discussed, and now only formalities remain.
Arty Green emphasized that it is encouraging that many military personnel from all sides are participating in this process. He noted that
“someone has to take a pen and draw a line, where Ukrainian citizens will plant wheat”— this indicates an attempt to establish clear boundaries in the context of restoring peaceful life.
A New Vision for Negotiations
The expert also pointed out that Trump and Putin 'know perfectly well who opposes the negotiations, why they oppose, and what cards they hold'. He believes that for Russia, it is time to 'lock in gains', which may indicate Moscow's desire to end the conflict in light of the critical state of the Russian army. Thus, the negotiations are taking on new characteristics, indicating a change in the strategic approach by key players.
Negotiations between the USA, Ukraine, and Russia may signify a gradual approach to a peaceful resolution of the conflict that has lasted for several years. Establishing the technical details of the ceasefire could serve as a foundation for further restoration of stability in the region. The participation of military personnel in the negotiations may grant them more legitimacy and increase the chances of successfully completing the process.
