Negotiations in Abu Dhabi: Is it possible to end the war in spring

A new round of negotiations aimed at ending the war has begun in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi. According to sources familiar with the discussions, these meetings may be more constructive than previous ones. The next round is scheduled for February 5.

David Arakhamia has led the Ukrainian negotiating team, while the Russian delegation is headed by the chief of the GRU, Kostiukov.

'I note that since David intervened, there has been a noticeable improvement with the Russian negotiators... they respect them, especially David, because they see in them people who live in reality, ready to compromise', – said a source.
Another participant in the negotiations is cautiously optimistic: 'I am cautiously optimistic that we have a reasonable chance to end this conflict in spring'.

Comments and Additional Information

Separately, amid the discussions, Ukrainian MP and member of the National Security and Defense Committee Roman Kostenko stated:

'Attempts to surrender Ukrainian territories or people are a direct act of state treason. Everyone who even considers such a scenario will be held accountable'.
Meanwhile, Poland has become the first country to establish a government commission to investigate information regarding contacts of citizens with Jeffrey Epstein's entourage. This order was issued by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
