Negotiations Between Ukrainian and American Delegations

The negotiations between Ukrainian and American delegations, which took place on December 15 in Berlin, focused on security and territorial issues. It is worth noting that these talks were held without the participation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who was speaking at the Ukrainian-German business forum at that time. Despite the President's absence, the delegations made significant progress on security guarantees for Ukraine.

During the negotiations, all points of the 20-point plan were discussed. According to American representatives, over the past ten days, documents regarding security guarantees have made significant progress.

"We have reached a consensus on a number of issues that we consider critical to achieving a peace agreement," said one American official.
At the same time, the US representative emphasized that the final decision regarding Ukraine's future will be up to the country itself.

Partnership with Germany

It is also noteworthy that Germany is preparing a comprehensive partnership with Ukraine in the field of armament. This indicates a serious interest in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. Meanwhile, it is expected that on the same day in Berlin, a working meeting of European leaders will take place, which may serve as an additional platform for discussing important security issues in the region.

In his speech at the business forum, Zelensky noted that

"this is an important conversation. Such conversations are always difficult. But the conversation was productive."
Against the backdrop of these events, German politician Friedrich Merz emphasized that "Russia has brought war back to Europe, violating the world order." These comments highlight the seriousness of the situation Ukraine finds itself in and the importance of international support in ensuring its security.

The negotiations that took place in Berlin represent an important stage in the process of strengthening international security guarantees for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. The progress made by the delegations indicates an activation of diplomatic efforts to find ways to peacefully resolve the situation. The existence of a plan and support from the US and Germany underscore the importance of collective efforts for stability in the region.
