The Ukrainian information space is filled with myths about the start of the heating season on November 1, 2025. However, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine clarified that this is not the case.

The government’s directive regarding gas prices starting November 1, 2025, does not mean the start of the heating season, but rather regulation of gas prices. The heating period is defined by other criteria and is separate from price fixation.
Continuation of Regulated Tariffs for Stability and Consumer Protection
The government of Ukraine has extended the application of regulated gas tariffs until March 31, 2026, to support users and electricity producers. This will help maintain stable gas prices and protect consumers from rapid increases in energy costs.
Regarding the start of heating, the Ministry of Energy assures that everything will be done as planned, and the regulation of this process is entrusted to local authorities. Heating will be supplied after the average daily temperature in the region has consistently remained below +8°C for three days.
Users need to understand that the start of the heating season and the issue of gas prices are different aspects of state regulation. The government's decision to extend regulated gas tariffs is aimed at supporting the population and enterprises in the energy sector, ensuring stability and consumer protection.
