US President Donald Trump stated in his latest interview that he believes falling energy prices could lead to the end of the war in Ukraine due to their impact on the Russian economy. According to Trump, if energy prices drop further, it may force Putin to change his strategy. The American leader also announced an increase in customs duties on Indian goods to avoid purchasing Russian oil. This move could have serious consequences for international relations and the geopolitical situation in the world.

'If energy prices drop significantly enough, Putin will stop killing people. If energy prices decrease another 10 dollars per barrel, he will have no choice because his economy is in terrible shape,' Trump said in a televised interview.

It is also worth noting that Trump set an ultimatum for Putin to cease fire in Ukraine by Friday, August 8. If this demand is not met, the American president threatens to impose new sanctions against Russia and establish 100% tariffs for Moscow's partners. The situation remains tense, and further developments could significantly impact the geopolitical situation in the world.
