The gas network operator should take responsibility for this process, regardless of the meter's ownership.
The main rule is that the consumer should not pay for the inspection of the gas meter, and it should not be forced upon them.
It is also worth remembering that all services related to the inspection, such as meter removal, transportation, the inspection itself, reinstallation, and even repair of the device, are free for consumers. The only case in which additional costs may arise is the detection of unauthorized interference.
Thus, Ukrainian households can be assured that the gas meter inspection procedure is not only mandatory but also free, which is an important step in ensuring reliable gas accounting.
