Olena Shevchenko celebrates her 70th birthday
Olena Shevchenko, the first wife of the legendary singer Nazariy Yaremchuk, is celebrating her 70th birthday today. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' referring to the social media of the folk artists, her sons Nazariy and Dmytro Yaremchuks.
«We sincerely congratulate our dear mother on her birthday, on this anniversary. Today she turns 70 (it’s hard to believe how fast time flies). On this sunny day, we wish our beloved mother, first of all, health, God's grace, goodness and joy in every moment and all that she wishes for herself and the whole family under the peaceful sky of Ukraine», – the message says.
The brothers also published a photo of their mother from when she was younger, and they were children.
Life after divorce
Last year, the Yaremchuk brothers shared that their mother lives in Kyiv. When asked why their parents divorced, Dmytro replied that it just happens in life.
«My brother and I believe that this decision was a mistake. Moreover, I think that if my parents hadn’t divorced, dad would still be with us. Did mom regret leaving? It was a great love, so yes, of course. She moved to Kyiv, soon married again, and gave birth to another son», – Dmytro recounted.
By the way, Nazariy’s second wife was Darina, who gave birth to the finalist of the 2014 Eurovision song contest, Maria Yaremchuk.
The official marriage of Darina and Nazariy lasted only four years. The lovers were separated by illness. Nazariy Yaremchuk fell ill with cancer and passed away in 1995.
