Death of Tetiana Kucheriava
Participant of the Russo-Ukrainian war, Tetiana Kucheriava, passed away at the age of 39 from stage IV cancer. Her death was reported by her husband Oleg Dunduк and the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. Farewell to the famous servicewoman took place at the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Lviv. Tetiana is survived by her son, husband, mother, sister, and family.
Life Journey of Tetiana Kucheriava
Tetiana Kucheriava was from the village of Shevchenkove in the Kharkiv region. She graduated from the military department at the Military Institute of Tank Troops of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and had been serving in the military since 2011. In 2015, she became the first female tank driver in Ukraine. Throughout her career, she held various positions, including in 2016 as the deputy commander of the humanitarian project of the Civil-Military Cooperation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Evacuation 200.”
Kucheriava executed an extremely important mission of exhumation, transportation, and transfer of the bodies of deceased Ukrainian servicemen to their families. Later, she shared her practical and combat experience with cadets of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy. Over the past nine months, she had been battling oncology, and in her last social media post from June 9, she noted that her condition had significantly worsened.
Tetiana Kucheriava held a scientific degree of Candidate of Psychological Sciences and was awarded departmental honors from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Her contribution to military affairs and humanitarian initiatives will remain in the memory of many.

Oleg Dunduк
As the first female tank driver, she became a symbol of change in the military field and the importance of women's contributions to the defense of the country. Her work in the “Evacuation 200” project speaks of the dedication and professionalism she demonstrated throughout her career. The loss of such an individual is a great blow not only to her family but also to the entire Ukrainian society, which is currently going through difficult times.
