Russian leader Vladimir Putin confirmed his readiness to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after preliminary preparations at the expert level. This was reported by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov to journalists regarding the possible holding of such a meeting.
“I want to remind you that the president himself does not rule out the possibility of holding such a meeting after the necessary work has been done at the expert level and the appropriate distance has been overcome,”
Peskov also noted that Russia remains committed to resolving the conflict in Ukraine through political and diplomatic means. Moreover, he did not rule out the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Trump’s special envoy Vitkoff in the coming days.

The spokesman also stated that Russia takes a responsible stance on nuclear rhetoric, adding that the Russian authorities have harsh assessments of the situation, but foreign policy is determined by Putin himself as president. No discussions on this topic have taken place.
