The Government of Ukraine has decided to ease the burden on the parents of first graders and has established a new type of state assistance - 'School Package'. Now, according to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 809 dated July 7, 2025, first-grade students together with their parents will receive 5000 hryvnias for purchasing school supplies and other necessary items.
By November 15, 2025, parents can apply for this assistance through the Diia mobile application or in person at the Pension Fund service center if they do not have the technical ability to do it online. However, the received funds must be spent within 180 days on purchases in stores registered in a special trade sector.
It is also important to remember that if parents already have an account from other state programs, they do not need to open a new account to receive the 'School Package'. It should also be noted that the assistance provided is a one-time payment, so using it timely and wisely is a real task for first-grade parents.
The Government of Ukraine is acting in the interests of families by providing assistance in the form of the 'School Package', which will simplify the preparation of children for school and allow parents to save on necessary purchases. This new program will be a support for many Ukrainian families, providing them with the necessary material resources for the start of the school year.
