The Pension Fund of Ukraine has announced how the basic social assistance for needy citizens is calculated. This assistance is designated to support those in need. The amount of this assistance is determined by comparing the basic amount for each family member and the family's total income.

Here are some key points: the basic amount for calculation is 4500 hryvnias, considering 70% of this amount for the following family members. Children under 18 and persons with disabilities of groups I or II receive the full basic amount. There is also a separate formula for individuals who are retired but do not have sufficient insurance experience: their payments depend on the duration of their service.

In addition, the average monthly total income of the family, which is influenced by all relatives' incomes over the past three months, is also taken into account. Some types of state assistance are not included in the total income.

Remember that basic social assistance is granted for a full month, regardless of the day the support is requested.
