Flowers Laid at Radushne Home as Search for Children Continues
In the village of Radushne, just outside Kryvyi Rih, rescue operations remain under way after a Russian missile strike killed the Voronov family. Residents have turned the site of the destroyed home into a spontaneous memorial, placing flowers, children's toys, and photographs among the wreckage. Ten pictures of the Voronov family members now stand where the house was hit during the night before July 30, a strike that claimed the lives of two adults and eight children.
According to acting head of the Kryvyi Rih district administration and district military administration chief Vitalii Shpak, two adults and eight children were inside when the attack happened. Five bodies have so far been recovered — two adults and three children — while the search for the remaining five children goes on. Seventeen body fragments have been pulled from the rubble and are now being examined by forensic specialists.
A Massive Overnight Attack and Its Aftermath
Russia launched a large-scale air assault on Ukraine overnight into July 30. In the outskirts of Kryvyi Rih, six people died, including three children — among them the Voronov couple, their children, and their one-and-a-half-year-old grandson. Eight other people were wounded. President Volodymyr Zelensky said two children were pulled alive from the debris, while the Novopilska rural council reported that as many as four more children might still be buried underneath.
The attack was combined in nature, involving drones and air-, ground-, and sea-launched missiles. In total, the enemy sent 358 aerial targets against Ukraine, of which air defense forces neutralized 320. The tragedy has stirred deep public outrage, and many people have come to the ruined house to honor the Voronov family's memory.
