Oleksandr Dubinsky and his initiatives in the Verkhovna Rada

People's Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, suspected of treason, has registered several draft resolutions in the Verkhovna Rada regarding the dismissal of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Maliuk and Prosecutor General Ruslan Krachchenko. On December 27, 2023, two draft resolutions were registered, which call for the Verkhovna Rada to address the president regarding these dismissals. In addition, Dubinsky submitted a separate draft resolution for the dismissal of Vasyl Maliuk.

As of the morning of December 28, 2023, the texts of the mentioned draft resolutions are absent from the Verkhovna Rada's website. It is worth noting that during the two years spent in custody, Oleksandr Dubinsky had registered two more draft laws. He was informed of the suspicion of treason on November 13, 2023.

Collaboration with Russian special services

Dubinsky, who is an independent People's Deputy, is also known for his activities related to Russian special services. In October 2019, he arrived in Saint Petersburg for a meeting with their representatives. His colleague Andriy Derkach, who was suspected of treason in 2020, also had ties to Russian special services, receiving payments from them.

According to available information, Dubinsky is suspected of official forgery and illegal transportation of individuals across the border. He also had an operational pseudonym 'Buratinо'.

The activities of Oleksandr Dubinsky against the backdrop of his suspicion of treason and ties with Russian special services generate significant interest in Ukrainian society and political circles. His registration of draft resolutions for the dismissal of high-ranking SBU officials and the prosecutor general may be perceived as an attempt to influence the situation in the country's law enforcement agencies. In the context of the ongoing war with Russia, such actions may become the subject of serious discussions and analyses by politicians and experts.
