Details have emerged regarding the arrest of the suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy. According to 'Hvilya', this was reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko, on Telegram. He stated that law enforcement officers detained the alleged shooter after midnight on September 1 in the Khmelnytskyi region.



'There will not be many details now. I will only say that the crime was carefully prepared: the schedule of the deceased's movements was studied, a route was planned, and an escape plan was devised,' - emphasized Klymenko.


The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, also commented on the arrest, noting that 'there are initial testimonies from the suspect'. 'Currently, further urgent investigative actions are being conducted to establish all the circumstances of this murder,' - the head of state wrote.



Other details of the case


It was previously reported that on Saturday, August 30, Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv - a deputy from the opposition party 'European Solidarity', who had previously held the positions of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. The politician was 54 years old. Seven spent cartridges were found at the scene. Investigative bodies are keeping the motives of the crime undisclosed, but various versions are being considered, including possible involvement of Russia.



The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the President of Ukraine confirmed the information about the arrest of the suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy.
