Dmytro Pidruchny and Taras Lesyuk have decided not to participate in the Ukrainian summer biathlon championship, which will take place from September 21 to 25 in Lviv region. This decision is related to the fact that participation in these competitions is not included in the athletes' training plan.
Instead of participating in the championship, Pidruchny and Lesyuk are training in Passo Lavazze under the guidance of Yuriy Sanitra. This training camp will end on September 24.
The Ukrainian team placed 10th in the overall medal standings at the European Youth Olympic Festival, with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This is the second most successful performance of the Ukrainian team at the festivals in their history, and the most medals the team won was in 2019 - 25 medals.
