The west of Ukraine has experienced heavy rains that led to significant flooding in several regions. In particular, the basements of two residential buildings in the Ternopil region were flooded. Rescuers are working in the areas to help owners save their belongings and pump water out of flooded areas.
Flooding has also been recorded in some parts of the city of Lviv in the Lviv region. The mayor reported that the Zubra River is overflowing, leading to flooding in parts of the city. A maximum danger level has been declared, and residents are urged to remove items from basements and evacuate cars from underground parking.
Volyn Region
In Lutsk, several streets are also experiencing flooding due to heavy rains. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns of possible flooding in rivers flowing through the region. Rescuers recommend that residents take immediate measures to protect their property and lives, including preparing necessary documents and calling 101 in case of an emergency.
Other Regions
According to meteorologists, the most affected areas will be Transcarpathia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Bukovina, and Ternopil. Deteriorating weather conditions are also expected in Volyn, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions.
As a result of heavy rains, serious flooding has occurred in several areas of western Ukraine. Residents are forced to fight against water in basements and on the streets, receiving support from rescuers. Deteriorating weather conditions are predicted in other regions of the country.
