Flooding in the Darnytsia District of Kyiv
Flooding of tram tracks occurred in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv due to extreme weather conditions, resulting in the suspension of transport movement. Tram traffic has now been restored. Head of the Darnytsia District State Administration Oleksandr Kovtunov reported on the critical situation that arose due to the combination of wet snow and rain.

Oleksandr Kovtunov noted that special equipment was promptly deployed for intensive water pumping and clearing paths from ice. He also emphasized that he is keeping the situation under personal control.

A sharp drop in temperature in the capital is expected, as well as heavy snowfall and frosts until the end of the week. The forecast for January 8 predicts wet snow, rain, and ice, and for January 9 - significant snow and blizzards.
