Benefits and Payments for Group II Disabilities in 2026: What Has Changed

Нове законодавство щодо виплат для осіб з інвалідністю другого групи в 2026 році: основні зміни та переваги.

Benefits and Payments for Group II Disabilities in 2026

In 2026, Ukraine continues the support program for individuals with Group II disabilities, which includes financial payments and benefits. Individuals with Group II disabilities have the right to receive financial payments, the amount of which depends on the recipient's status and the availability of insurance experience. For civilians, the insurance experience must be from 1 to 15 years.

The payment amount for individuals with Group II disabilities is 90% of the retirement pension. The pension is calculated from the day the disability is established if the application is made within three months. For Chernobyl victims with Group II disabilities, the minimum payment in 2026 is UAH 7,884.57, and for Chernobyl liquidators, it is no less than UAH 13,989.28. For military personnel, the pension is granted regardless of the insurance period if the injury occurred during service. For individuals with disabilities due to combat actions (Group II), the payment is 80% of the monetary provision, but not less than UAH 13,822.

Benefits for Individuals with Group II Disabilities

The legislation also guarantees benefits for individuals with Group II disabilities. Among them:

  • the right to employment without a probation period;
  • a 50% discount on medications;
  • free transportation on public transport.

These changes are aimed at improving the living conditions of people with disabilities and ensuring their social integration.

The changes in social security policy for individuals with Group II disabilities in 2026 reflect the state’s efforts to support vulnerable population groups.

Increasing the amount of payments and introducing new benefits not only contributes to improving the financial condition of disabled persons but also facilitates their integration into society. This can positively impact the overall quality of life of such individuals, providing them with more opportunities for self-fulfillment and participation in social life.
