Over the past three years, North Korea has generated as much as $14 billion by supplying weapons and troops to Russia for its war against Ukraine. In 2024, the country's economy expanded by 3.7%, marking its fastest growth in eight years. Its total gross domestic product reached approximately $26.6 billion.
Currently, around 10,000 North Korean special forces soldiers are deployed on the front lines in Ukraine. Additionally, thousands of engineers and hundreds of drone operators are present in the country. These North Korean military personnel receive roughly $2,000 per month for their service.
