The U.S. Department of Justice has accused North Korea of funding its weapons program by using workers from American IT companies with remote access. According to the agency, workers from North Korea transferred their salaries to accounts in their country, as well as U.S. intelligence technologies and virtual currency.

As part of a criminal investigation, a U.S. citizen suspected of collaborating with North Korea has been detained, along with more than six other individuals in Taiwan and China. The scheme has generated significant income for North Korea, estimated at millions of dollars.

Victims of this scheme included not only potential technologies and Fortune 500 companies, but accounts, websites, and laptops involved in the process have also been seized. Furthermore, a concert was held in Pyongyang in honor of fallen North Korean soldiers, where Kim Jong Un expressed concern about sending additional troops to Russia and the possible weakening of strategic reserves.
