Introducing a New Travel Experience Through Mykolaiv Region
The 'Journey to Yourself' platform has unveiled its inaugural bespoke four-day tour across the Mykolaiv region, part of the nationwide initiative 'Journey to Yourself. Paths of Recovery,' which began in spring 2026. This fresh itinerary spotlights Mykolaiv as an emerging travel destination, combining scenic hikes, hands-on workshops, and encounters with local artisans and producers. The journey kicks off at the Granitic-Steppe Pobuzhia Regional Landscape Park and includes visits to creative studios, local wineries, farms, and the scenic shores of the Tiligul Estuary.
In August 2026, the route was piloted with participation from prominent Ukrainian influencers such as Yevhen Klopotenko, Maks Uzol, Olya Manko, Yevhen Synelnykov, Oleksandr Teren, Alina Ostrozka, and Sofiya Bezverkha. Simultaneously, the dosebe.travel platform was launched in a beta MVP version to support this effort. Natalia Tabaka, head of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine, and Maria Lypiatska, chairwoman of BRAND UKRAINE, lead these initiatives.
“Our mission is to make traveling within Ukraine a powerful tool for healing and renewal, offering travelers access to places that reveal our rich history, culture, and unique natural landscapes. This also supports responsible local businesses that operate legally and contribute to the economy through taxes. By rolling out ready-made travel routes, we aim to ease pressure on popular destinations while diversifying travel experiences. Choosing Mykolaiv as the pilot region was intentional—it is an area with immense potential and a community that deserves our attention and support today.”

Maria Lypiatska added, “In August, we launched dosebe.travel in its MVP phase and are actively working on expanding its capabilities. Curated tours are the first added feature we are introducing to users. Verified participants ensure a smooth and meaningful travel experience while helping sustain local enterprises. Involving influencers in the Mykolaiv tour test provided invaluable real-time insights and helped share the experience with wider audiences. We hope to inspire travelers to explore Ukraine confidently with a reliable plan in hand.”
National Campaign 'To Oneself Through the Native Land'
As part of the national campaign 'To Oneself Through the Native Land,' launched on August 11, 2026, the next curated route through the Khmelnytskyi region is already in development. Each proposed itinerary undergoes a careful selection process by the project team, a review committee, and an expert panel to ensure compliance with program standards and legal requirements. The platform also highlights accessibility features for people with disabilities and those with limited mobility.
The introduction of the Mykolaiv tour marks a significant advancement in promoting domestic tourism in Ukraine, especially amid ongoing recovery efforts following recent crises. Integrating local producers and cultural experiences into travel programs not only boosts regional economies but also raises Ukraine’s profile as a diverse and authentic destination. Engaging influencers in route testing adds valuable exposure, encouraging a wider audience to discover lesser-known yet captivating locations.
As travelers look to explore more of Ukraine's hidden gems, the emphasis on local culture and natural beauty becomes increasingly significant.
