Lottery Operator Competition in Ukraine
Following an open tender process, the PlayCity agency has announced the winning companies that will become Ukraine's official lottery operators. The state's gambling regulator has selected the following firms:
- MSL
- Patriot
- Ukrainian National Lottery
The successful companies must now complete a licensing procedure, which involves submitting applications and paying an annual fee of 22.4 million hryvnias. No lottery in Ukraine will be permitted to operate without first securing this license. This move is part of a broader effort to regulate the country's gambling industry, which was legalized in 2020.
