Ukrainian volleyball player Oleg Plotnytskyi, who was once the leader of the national team, has once again claimed a winning trophy, this time at the 2025 Club World Championship with the Italian giant 'Perugia'. In the final, 'Perugia' faced the Japanese club 'Osaka Bluteon'.
The Italian team confidently dominated the first two sets with scores of 25:20 and 25:21. The third set was a real drama, however, 'Perugia' managed to pull off a win with a score of 29:27.
'Oleg Plotnytskyi brought six points to his team,' reports 'Zerkalo Nedeli'.
This marks 'Perugia's third victory at the Club World Championship in the last four years, allowing the Italians to place third in terms of titles in the history of the tournament. For Plotnytskyi, this victory is his twelfth with the Italian club, and his achievements also include winning the Champions League in the 2024/25 season.
It is worth noting that after the match in Japan, Plotnytskyi refused to shake hands with the Russian volleyball players Dmytro Muserskyi and Yegor Klyutsey, who play for the Japanese club.
