The Government of Ukraine has begun the reboot of energy companies: what will change

Reboot of key state enterprises in the energy sector


The Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Minister of Economy discussed plans for updating the management of key state enterprises in the energy sector.



The company 'Energoatom' plans to form a new supervisory board within a week, which will help to implement a complete management overhaul. 'Ukrhydroenergo' also plans to conduct a swift competition for the position of head and the formation of the supervisory board. The operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system will also receive a new supervisory board and hold a competition for the position of general director.



At 'Naftogaz of Ukraine', a new competition for members of the supervisory board is planned so that the new composition can start working in January 2026. There are also plans to update state representatives on the supervisory boards of other major state energy companies.



Protection against corruption and ensuring transparency


Officials have been instructed to maintain constant communication with law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies. Any detected corruption schemes in companies will receive prompt and fair responses. Full transparency and integrity in energy processes is a top priority.
