Residents of Kyiv will receive persistent calls from collectors until the end of 2025 - the city's utility companies have agreed to collect debts for housing and communal services through a tender. The reason for this is a missed managerial appointment in buildings, which has led to an increase in tariffs and significant debt among residents.
According to TSN, the management company of the Obolon district has signed an agreement with a collection agency for 1.5 million hryvnias via ProZorro. The tender participant is expected to collect a certain number of debts in multi-apartment buildings in the city.
The head of the Union of Consumers of Communal Services, Oleg Popenko, explains the situation as a peculiar interpretation of the managers' competition. According to him, numerous violations were noticed during the selection process, and the managers became the same companies that previously raised prices by half.
'Residents did not want to pay inflated bills for services that were not provided in quality amounts,' adds the expert.
